mud, epoxy, tarp, cold asphalt and sand
I treat a piece of tarp with cold asphalt and sand, place a wet pile of mud on top, and run a car over it. As the imprint dries, the mud hardens and cracks. Finally, I apply liquid plastic to preserve the moment when the mud is separated from its whole. The piece has been made in several versions, and this one was exhibited at Liljevalchs Vårsalong in Stockholm 2023.
